HISTORY & PILOSOPHY

The Dread Army was founded in 2007 by our leader, the Dark Lord himself, Lord Mortium and a short, drunken, hammer-wielding, light-freak named Doughman as a Karazhan Raid Group.

Over the next year, despite heavy turnover (real life issues and lots of poaching of raid members by other raids) the Dread Army excelled beyond all expectations. Working with only 2.5 hours a night, twice a week, and almost never starting on time the Dread Army quickly worked its way up to full clears of KZ with enough time left over in our raid week to routinely take out the Bear Boss in Zul'Aman. We believe our current and former members, both Dread Army Guild and Dread Army Raid Group are some of the best players you will find on Lothar. 

The Dread Army Guild seeks to gather a group of like-minded friends to raid end-game content with. By emphasizing teamwork and class knowledge/skill, we seek to provide raiding opportunities for those whose real life responsibilities and commitments, be it work, school, children, or volunteer activities, do not allow you the luxury of time to commit to hard core raiding guilds' demanding schedules (3-4 hours+ a night 5-6 days a week!).

OUR RULES

1. Real Life > World of Warcraft
2. The Raid Leader is the final word on ALL rules.
3. Do not abandon your teammates! We value TEAMWORK.  When you sign up for a raid, you are making a commitment to the other members of the raid to stick with them and with the raid until everyone gets what they need.  Even if Lady Luck smiles on you and you get all your drops in the first two weeks, remember that the people who made it possible for you to get those drops need to get their drops as well.  We all want to get better gear and progress.  And the only way that's going to happen is if we all support each other. The ONLY exception to this rule is Real Life issues.   
4. Raid Leaders will NOT poach raiders from other raids!
5. Come prepared! Be sure to bring your consumables and have your add-ons updated!
6. Be on time!
7. Roll NEED on Greens; pass on blues, BOP, EPICS and recipes. Those will be distributed by the Raid/Group leader in accordance with the Raid’s Rules and Loot System.
8. Don’t be a douchebag.
